Xiaomi Launches – MI Notebook Pro laptop with Intel 8th-Gen processor

Xiaomi has launched its Apple MacBook Pro rival at an event in Beijing, China. Dubbed Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro, the laptop comes in three variants based on processor and RAM combination. All three models come with Intel 8th gen ‘Kaby Lake-R’ processors. The Core i7+16GB RAM version costs RMB 6999, Core i7+8GB RAM costs RMB 6399 and the Core i5+8GB RAM is priced at RMB 5599.

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro comes with a 15.6-inch narrow display with 72% NTSC colour gamut. The screen comes protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and Harman Infinity custom built speakers supporting Dolby Atmos audio.

The Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro comes with 2-antenna AC Wi-Fi for better connectivity. There’s a fingerprint sensor as well that teams up with Windows Hello security feature. It also includes a 3-in-1 SD card slot along with USB Type-C port to charge the device and transfer data. Xiaomi says the laptop comes with 60Wh battery that supports quick charge technology as well. The tech allows the Mi Note book Pro to charge up to 50% in 35 minutes.

Besides the Intel 8th gen ‘Kaby Lake-R’ processor, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro uses Nvidia GeForce MX150 GPU to handle graphics. The device weighs 1.9 kg and measures 360.7×243.6×15.9mm.

Xiaomi, besides its new laptop, also launched its Mi Mix 2 phablet. It comes as a successor to the last year’s Mi Mix with the highlight being a bezel-less display with 18:9 aspect ratio, same we’ve seen in the LG G6 and the Q6 smartphones. The smartphones comes in three variants. There is a ‘Special Edition’ variant too. The price of the phablet starts at RMB 3299.

The company also announced its new smartphone in the ‘Note’ series, the Mi Note 3. The smartphone, like the Mi 6, comes with dual rear cameras.
